IT Network Operations Director
We are seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Network and Service Desk Director to join an innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the network and desktop support teams – ensuring technology systems are reliable, up-to-date, and meet the needs of the company. You will also work closely with senior leadership to develop technology policies to be administered throughout the company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Network Operations and Service Desk departments, including infrastructure and applications
- Manage and oversee all stages of the development lifecycle for new projects with relation to Network and Service Desk
- Work to deliver products on time and on budget
- Help to prioritize short and long term objectives
- Maintain existing programs, seeing that necessary updates are made
- Evaluates operations regarding established goals.
- Communicates within IT team and across departments as needed.
- Assesses need for new equipment and software.
- Prepares progress and budget reports for upper management
- Builds and maintains relationships with outside vendors.
- Manages company help desk.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field (graduate degree a plus)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in IT operations
- Minimum additional 3 years’ experience overseeing IT teams and projects
- Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
