As the Environmental Compliance Leader, you will play a pivotal role in setting and maintaining environmental standards within our company. You will be responsible for overseeing environmental compliance processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance our sustainability practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and industry standards applicable to the food industry.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess environmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices throughout all levels of our organization.
- Analyze data and recommend process enhancements to minimize environmental impact while optimizing production efficiency.
- Lead and inspire a team of environmental specialists to execute compliance initiatives and monitor ongoing performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external stakeholders regarding environmental matters.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in environmental regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation.
- Drive awareness and promote a culture of environmental responsibility among employees and partners.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance, preferably within the food industry.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to implement practical solutions to complex environmental challenges.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to inspire and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading environmental compliance initiatives and driving positive change.
