Rock Hill, South Carolina Mainframe Systems Analyst/Developer

Job Summary:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mainframe Systems Analyst/Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing computer information systems that support our company’s business operations. This role requires expertise in COBOL, CA-ADS, T-SQL, and other application languages. The applications to be supported include our in-house written Customer Service and Billing System.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement and maintain computer information systems using COBOL, CA-ADS, T-SQL, and other application languages.

Analyze business requirements, design, and develop technical solutions to support business processes.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to manage medium to large scale projects.

Perform system testing and debugging to ensure applications meet technical requirements.

Write technical documentation to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of computer information systems.

Work with end-users to troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support.

Keep up-to-date with technology trends and best practices in application development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

2 years of experience in applications development managing medium to large scale projects, OR an associate degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in applications development of which at least 2 years are managing medium to large scale projects.

Strong proficiency in COBOL, CA-ADS, T-SQL, and other application languages.

Experience working with mainframe systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
