Greenville, South Carolina Marine Product Design Engineer
Location: Greenville, SC
Pay Rate: 100 – 150K
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with at least five (5) years of experience.
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes like milling, turning, diecasting, urethane molding, injection molding, and plating.
- Familiarity with materials such as steel, brass, aluminum, and plastics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability.
- Demonstrated capability to design new products using existing or emerging technologies.
- Effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
Responsibilities:
- Design small mechanical and electromechanical mechanisms with precise tolerances and provide accurate cost estimates.
- Enhance existing product functionality, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop designs considering manufacturing processes and capabilities.
- Manage multiple projects while designing and developing products.
- Collaborate with Materials, Quality, and Manufacturing to meet cost and quality goals.
- Partner with Sales to identify and offer solutions for new opportunities.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes, including milling, turning, diecasting, urethane molding, injection molding, and plating.
- Familiarity with materials such as steel, brass, aluminum, and plastics.
- Knowledge or experience in magnetic or electromagnetic fields is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability.
- Proven track record of designing new products using existing or emerging technologies.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Physical demands may include standing, sitting, using hands, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds may be required.
