Responsibilities:     

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients’ orthotic and pedorthic needs, taking into account their medical history, lifestyle, and specific requirements.
  • Design and fabricate custom orthotic devices tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy and functional goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care, fostering a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
  • Provide expert consultations and education to patients and their families, guiding them through the selection, fitting, and usage of orthotic devices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation, adhering to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the mission and goals of our client’s organization, actively participating in community outreach programs and initiatives to promote awareness and access to orthotic and pedorthic services.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving the lives of individuals through orthotic and pedorthic solutions.
  • Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification through the ABC or BOC as Orthotic Fitter considered a plus
  • Experience working within a hospital system preferred
