Job Description:

 

As a Plant Manager, you will lead the manufacturing facility, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of our food products. You will play a pivotal role in managing the plant’s operations, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated team of supervisors, technicians, and operators to achieve production goals while maintaining a safe and positive working environment.

  • Production Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet customer demand and quality standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements. Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

  • Budget Management: Manage the plant’s budget effectively, controlling costs and resource allocation.

  • Health & Safety: Champion a strong safety culture by implementing safety programs, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting a safe work environment.

  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, including raw materials and finished goods, to maintain optimal levels and minimize waste.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience in plant management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse workforce.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of manufacturing software and systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
