Marietta, Georgia Quality Assurance/Food Safety Manager

Are you a QA/Food Safety Supervisor ready to take the leap to a managerial role, or perhaps you’re in a managerial position feeling stagnant? If so, The Newell Group has an exciting opportunity in the Atlanta area for a Quality Assurance/Food Safety Manager to lead their established food safety program.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the Quality Assurance department is organized, adequately staffed, and trained to meet plant and departmental objectives.
• Champion a robust food safety culture within the organization.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to navigate local, state, customer/third-party, and federal audits and inspections effectively.
• Enhance, maintain, and innovate systems supporting the company’s food safety initiatives.
• Guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Facilitate monthly food safety team meetings to foster continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the sanitation department to enhance the sanitation program and rectify any shortcomings.
• Lead internal audits and contribute to corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience in food safety management.
• Proficiency with either SQF or BRC standards.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities.
