Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) through ERP software, ensuring continuous production of products that meet established standards. This role will provide leadership to the quality assurance team and deliver appropriate quality systems training across the organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enforce all company policies and procedures with a safety-first mentality.

  • Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and address customer quality issues.

  • Provide direction to employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to maintain continuous control over materials and processes.

  • Monitor and report on manufactured product quality companywide.

  • Oversee process capability and ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Manage the development of core documents, including FPI and Inspection Check Sheets.

  • Participate in the APQP process from conception through launch.

  • Oversee the quality assurance aspects of inspection and testing for processed and purchased products.

  • Manage the CAPA process.

  • Serve as a Certified Lead Auditor for IATF 16949.

  • Ensure the QMS is established, implemented, and maintained per IATF 16949 requirements.

  • Identify training needs related to IATF 16949.

  • Manage the internal QMS audit program and monitor compliance, reporting results to management.

  • Oversee LPPA audit schedules, results, and actions.

  • Manage sample layouts, revalidations, set-up approvals, and product audits.

  • Formulate and coordinate quality control objectives with production procedures to maximize reliability and minimize costs.

  • Lead the Management Review Process.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the quality assurance team.

  • Ensure proper training and standardization of procedures to improve team efficiency.

  • Foster a cohesive team environment and resolve conflicts effectively.

Job Requirements, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum AA/AS degree in a related field; BA/BS preferred.

  • At least six years of experience in quality assurance.

  • Strong management skills to develop and execute short- and long-term plans aligned with company goals.

  • Technical expertise in:

    • Statistical Process Control

    • Blueprint reading, including GD&T

    • Gage calibration and MSA

    • Layout inspection

    • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis

    • A.I.A.G. requirements

    • IATF 16949

    • Quality Systems

    • Document Control Process

    • Continuous Improvement Process

    • Management Review Process

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to direct, coordinate, and evaluate departmental performance.

  • Excellent math application and comprehension skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaching abilities to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Exceptional organizational and presentation skills.
