Job Title: Senior Help Desk Administrator

Summary:
The Senior Help Desk Administrator is responsible for providing technical support to users of a medium-sized local government IT infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software problems, configuring and maintaining systems, and providing training to users. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of IT technologies, including Windows, Active Directory, SCCM, virtualization, and Microsoft products. They will also be trainable, eager to learn new technologies, and focused on continuous growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support to users of the IT infrastructure
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
- Configure and maintain systems
- Provide training to users
- Document IT processes and procedures
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT technologies
- Escalate complex issues to the next level of support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field OR equivalent experience + Associates Degree
- 3-5+ years of experience in IT support
- Experience with a variety of IT technologies, including Windows, Active Directory, SCCM, virtualization, and Microsoft products
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Desire to continuously grow and develop
Certifications:
- A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications are a plus
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certifications are a plus
