Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their specific orthotic and prosthetic needs, considering their medical history, lifestyle, and individual requirements. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather relevant medical information.
  • Design and Fabrication: Design and fabricate customized orthotic and prosthetic devices tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy and functional goals.
  • Patient Fitting: Precisely fit orthotic and prosthetic devices to patients, ensuring comfort, functionality, and alignment. Make necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the proper use, maintenance, and care of their orthotic and prosthetic devices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation, adhering to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaboration: Work with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest advancements in prosthetics and orthotics to provide the best possible care to patients.

Qualifications:

  • ABC/BOC certified in Orthotics, prosthetics a plus.  Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistants will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in orthotic and prosthetic assessment, design, and fabrication.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving the lives of individuals through orthotic and prosthetic solutions.
