We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Prosthetist/Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO) to join a reputable practice in Mt. Clemens, MI. You will contribute to patient mobility and quality of life in a vibrant community. As a CPO in their organization, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic care. This includes patient evaluation, the design and fitting of orthoses/prostheses, and seamless coordination with professionals spanning a wide spectrum of clinical specialties. This area has a diverse patient population with a heavier emphasis on prosthetics.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their specific prosthetic and orthotic needs, considering their medical history, lifestyle, and individual requirements. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather relevant medical information.
  • Design and Fabrication: Design and fabricate customized prosthetic and orthotic devices tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy and functional goals.
  • Patient Fitting: Precisely fit prosthetic and orthotic devices to patients, ensuring comfort, functionality, and alignment. Make necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the proper use, maintenance, and care of their prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation, adhering to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaboration: Work with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest advancements in prosthetics and orthotics to provide the best possible care to patients.

Qualifications:

  • ABC Certified in both Orthotics and Prosthetics or Board Eligible
  • Proven experience in prosthetic and orthotic assessment, design, and fabrication.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving the lives of individuals through prosthetic and orthotic solutions.
